We’re the Know Your Rights (KYR) Team, here to help ensure your camp is informed and prepared in the event of any law enforcement encounters, whether during the drive into Black Rock City or throughout the week of Burning Man.
We’re offering three key resources this year:
- Flyer: Know the Basics
This one-page summary covers the essential information your campers need to know. Please share it widely through your camp’s communication channels (email, Slack, Discord, etc.). Please also feel free to print a copy and post it in a communal area of your camp. You can access the file here or with the button below. - Live Webinar: Saturday, August 16th (12PM PT / 3PM EST / 9PM CET)
We’ll be hosting a live, open-to-all webinar on how to prepare for the drive in. Zoom link to come. - On-Playa Trainings for Large & Esplanade Theme Camps
If your camp has 100+ members or is located on the Esplanade, we’re offering in-person KYR trainings during your camp’s orientation meeting or other all-camp meeting. This means a member of our team will come to your camp, give a brief overview of key information to your campers, and do a short Q&A session. If your camp doesn’t meet the above criteria but has a specific reason for needing live training, feel free to reach out at bmkyrproject@gmail.com to request a training. If you meet the above criteria, book your in-person training slot here.
